Finally leaving this place! You might think that ‘hey it’s cheap, it’s close to campus, what’s the worse that can happen.’ Trust me this place is the worst. You move in to an apartment that makes your socks black with fleas and spiders. Random maintenance workers all throughout the lease who come and go as they please with no notice. Would not recommend if you want an even somewhat peaceful lease.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! I moved into a flea infested, dirt and hair covered place. I know multiple buildings here that are infested with fleas, and when you complain to management they change their story about carpet installation/cleaning/ preventative measures to blame it on you. They got my roommate and my lease incorrect and placed us in an apartment with 3 animals, when our 2 were the max on the lease. Then didn't catch it until their 3rd inspection and tried charging us for it and threatened to... remove the animals. They changed the locks to electronic locks in the middle of the year without asking if it was okay with tenants. The locks did not work causing us to have to leave our (all female) apartment unlocked until they found a replacement key that we would be charged over $100 for if we lost. They took a week to just spray paint our kitchen cabinets and change a single water fixture (although they have a window to do renovations after we move out and make sure to tell you if you want to extend your lease or move in early) All while leaving our front door open, strolling in at any time they would like even after completing work, leaving tape, staples, paint everywhere, which I'm sure I'll be charged for. The water is undrinkable now due to the glue in the pipes and the plastic taste (even with a Brita and running it for a month) and when you complain, they again change their story to make it sound like your fault. They have shut off our water for monitoring? We have had random service men walk into our apartment without ANY notice of services in the morning. It is an unsafe, disgusting, slimy place to live. I truly recommend everyone to stay as far away as you can from here.

Here are some of the reasons why: 1. The maintenance crew entered my son’s apartment without notice. They then peered into my son’s bedroom from the doorway and then left. Later, they applied damage charges for bedroom blinds in the amount of $35 to the account. My son has no idea why this charge is on the account. He sent me photographs of the two windows in his room and there is no damage to the blinds. 2. Exterior lighting in breezeway was out for weeks. This required my son to have to use... the flashlight on his cell phone to see and use the keyhole at night. It also created a safety hazard for all the residents in his building having to pass through the area. 3. My son was initially assigned to a unit with cats, even though his severe cat allergy was noted during the application process. 4. There is mold and mushrooms growing in the bathroom. 5. The office does not process payments in a timely manner. I continue to receive notices of late payments despite having confirmation from my bank that the checks are being sent well before the due dates. a. For example, our bank withdrew the November payment on 10/10/23 and guaranteed delivery by 10/15/2023. However, the account does not reflect that the payment was received. I contacted the office on 11/2/23 at 1:01 PM. I shared with the lady that the payment was sent about 3 weeks ago, however I was still receiving late notices and the check had not been processed. She put me on hold and then transferred me to another lady. This lady claimed that she had not received the check and it wasn’t her fault. c. Back in July, this also happened. The office claims they didn't receive the July payment issued from my bank. I had to contact my bank and cancel it and pay online which resulted in me incurring an additional convenience charge.

It’s my second year here and the first year was relatively fine, pretty much expected for the price. Went to move back into my unit after the summer and everything I had in shared living spaces was gone. It was very obvious the cleaning crew had some sort of miscommunication and cleared it out. That was over two months ago now and the complex hasn’t reimbursed me yet and is giving me the run around. Not to mention the rent is going up significantly next year and they aren’t doing much of... anything besides repainting the buildings.
Save yourself the trouble and live somewhere else.
